At the Fair

I was afraid we weren't going to make it to the fair this year because the weather was so horrible.  We couldn't go the first weekend and then it rained all week long.  Lucky for us the sun came back out and it was a perfect day on Saturday.

Sophia got to have cotton candy for the first time and she loved it of course!  I mean what's not to like about pure sugar?

In the petting area she liked seeing the dogs, but couldn't quite figure out where to put her arm so she could pet them.

While Sara and Brandon had fun doing this Sophia finally took a short nap.  The kids each got to pick one treat, so Sara choose to get an Icee and Brandon choose a tiger ear.  Sophia had her cotton candy and Ben and I shared sliced caramel apples.  Yummy!

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

Sophia LOVES watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on t.v.  She says mouse and tries to say oh toodles!  We went to Toys-R-Us to get her a Mickey Mouse toy and it is hard to find toys that don't talk and make noise these days.  I decided on these cars and she loves them!

She likes to take Mickey and Minnie out of their cars and put them back in over and over again.  Sara has even taught her to say Minnie, but is sounds more like Meme.  I had to record lots of shows downstairs so she can watch "mouse" anytime.  Too cute!

Olivia

My brother Aaron came to visit with his family over Labor Day weekend.  My new niece is so cute and everyone wanted to hold her.  Nicole and I made her lots of cute bows that I wish I had taken a picture of, but forgot to.
Sophia loved holding baby Olivia and giving her kisses.

Sara always wants to hold babies and loves holding them while they sleep.  We had lots of fun, thanks for coming to visit guys!

Sunday

I love relaxing Sundays!  My kids think I'm the meanest mom because I won't let them watch t.v. or movies or play video or computer games.  They actually have to read and do things together which is the whole point for me!  Our house is pretty quiet and I usually get to take a nap and relax.  Also I love the relationship my kids are building with each other.  It's not always easy, but it's one of the best decisions I've ever made.

Manners??

Dinnertime at our house has turned into a circus!  The kids taught Sophia to "eat like a dog" and they take every opportunity to have her practice this new skill.  At least she's eating right?

When Sophia is done eating she pushes her plate away and puts her feet up on the table!  Of course everybody laughs so she laughs too and keeps doing it.  It doesn't help that she's so stinking cute so we run to get the camera and encourage her to do it again.  I just keep telling myself that she won't be this age for long and pretty soon we'll be lucky if she's at the table for dinner at all.

What Sophia loves........

Sophia loves playing with Daddy and jumping on his belly.

Sophia's favorite drink is Capri sun and she doesn't squeeze the bag at all!

Sophia loves riding on her horse- standing up!

Sophia loves being pushed in the swing-

and playing on the slide at the park.

Sophia loves the pavement- she kissed it when she tripped and fell in the parking lot :(

Sophia loves going up and down stairs.  This is all she wanted to do at the Chuckar's game we went to.

Daddy/Daughter Date

Sara got to go on a special "date" with Ben for Activity Days.  The young women in the ward did hair and makeup for all the girls in Activity Days and Sara went over to Courtney Marsh's house.  She had so much fun and looked so beautiful!
Ben got to pick her up with a corsage and take her over to where the activity was.  I love that they got to spend time together and get to know each other better.  What a special night!
