First day of school!

Celebrate good times come on! I love it when the kids go back to school! I love the routine, the freedom and the naps!
I love that they are not home fighting all day and that I don't have to come up with things for them to do so they don't watch t.v. and play video games all day. I love the separation and that I get to ask "So, what did you do today?"

Brandon is in 1st grade and his teacher is Ms. Morgan. Sara is in 4th grade and her teacher is Ms. Cunningham. Yippee!!!!

Joci and Sophie

We got to eat lunch with Dad at Melaleuca one last time before the kids went back to school and we had fun seeing Lara and Joci there too! Joci is about 1 month younger than Sophie and already rolling over. They looked so cute that day, so I had to get a picture.

Tomatoes!

I actually got a garden planted this year, but failed to get the tomatoes in cages before they got too big. Now the tomatoes are taking over the garden and I have to dig down under everything to see if there is anything ready to pick. We probably won't have too many big tomatoes, but lots and lots of cherry tomatoes! I love eating them right out of the garden!

Watch your stuff!

Sophia is grabbing anything and everything and trying to get it in her mouth. She is doing really well in her exersaucer and loves trying to get the toys.
We have to watch where we put her because she will grab at all the things around her and when you take it away it is covered in drool. YUCK! She loves to sit up and be part of the action, so she is on the table or counter in her little seat so I can make dinner or clean up.

Summer at the pool

We love spending time at the pool. I mean it's what summer's all about in my opinion. Brandon is a fish and once he gets in he doesn't get out. He has been doing really well in swimming lessons this year and can tread water and do the front and back crawl.
Sara likes playing with Sophia and making new friends. Sara can do the front crawl with side breathing and tread water for 30 seconds.

Usually Sophia sleeps most of the time we're at the pool, but when she wakes up she has lots of fun in the water with Mom or her big sister. She doesn't mind being splashed or going under the water.

Rice cereal

I have started feeding Sophia rice cereal once a day. Most of it comes back out, but she is getting better each time. I really just want her to get used to it, so I water it down a lot and that makes it messy!
She is five months old and has no desire to roll over. She would much rather just lay on her back or sit up.

The Andersons

We got to visit our good friends Matt and Windy and their three boys in Layton Utah this last weekend. Everyone liked holding Sophia, but I think Jeffrey loved her the most. Sara does not get very excited when we tell her we are going to see the Andersons because she knows they only have boys, so we had to make sure that we also see Mindy and Steven Ludlow because they have a girl for Sara to play with.
We were planning on going to Pineview, but because the weather was so cold we ended up going to the pool instead. All the kids like swimming and it was nice and warm inside.

We also got to roast marshmellows and starburst in the backyard, and Brandon loves playing video games with the boys. We had so much fun- thanks guys!
