Random Pictures from October

I know it's hard to see but Sophia is combing her hair with a fork just like Ariel.

Brandon went to his first karate tournament and did really well.  He came home with one first place, one second place and two third place finishes.  It was a long day!!

Sophia loves puzzles!

Disneyland part 2

Disneyland in August? Not a good idea!  It was soooooo hot!!  Since Brandon likes to go on rides and Sara doesn't so much one of us would go with Brandon and  the other stay with the girls.  We would switch off after we met up for lunch or sometimes switch every other day.  Sophia had to go to the bathroom a lot and the stroller was a pain, but it was lots of fun when you got your turn to go on some real rides and hang out with Brandon.

Sara did go on a lot of rides, but she doesn't like anything fast, high or scary.  Whoever was with Sophie also got Sara and they went on all the classic Disneyland rides together.

I got Sophia's face painted and it had kind of washed off and smudged half-way through the day.  I was trying to stay positive and not think about the waste of money, but it was expensive for face painting!  When Ben was taking her around on some rides an employee said that she could go back and get it redone the same day for free!!  Yippee!!

Sophia waited in line to meet the princesses at least 4 different times!  It was by far her favorite part.

Ben talked Brandon into going on Tower of Terror in California Adventures and it quickly became his favorite ride.  Brandon is all about going on rides and loves roller coasters and anything fast.  He is lots of fun at amusement parks!

We went on Ariel's Adventure 6 times I think!  Sophia loved it and would not take her eyes off the characters.

Sophia loved all the rides in A Bug's World and ran from ride to ride until it was time to go.

This is the souvenir Sophia picked out and she still takes her around everywhere and sleeps with her at night.  Overall we had a great time, but I will never go in August again!

Disneyland Part 1

We went to Disneyland in August with Sara's performing group.  We got a great deal that included tickets, hotel and meals!  The drive was really long, but we made lots of stops like this one.

The first day we went to the beach.  We met up with one of Ben's high school friends and had lots of fun playing in the water!

Ben and his friend showed the kids sand crabs.

After dinner and showering everyone was super tired and fell asleep instantly.  It was an awesome day at the beach and Ben and I got to stay up late and visit with an old friend after the kids fell asleep.

It was so nice to go down a couple of days early so we could relax before doing Disneyland.

No kids!

My mom took all three of my kids for a weekend, so Ben and I drove up to Jackson Hole.  We stopped on our way when we saw an interesting hike and ate our lunch.

We saw a moose cooling himself in the stream.

We saw a lot of bison.

And we saw the beautiful Grand Teton mountains.

It was so much fun to hang out and do whatever we wanted.  15 years has flown by and I'm so grateful I get to spend eternity with my best friend.  Love you!!

Green belt

Brandon is loving martial arts!  He practices every day and has loved learning the bo staff.  This weekend he is competing in his first tournament.

Pictures

I took the kids out to take some pictures and they actually turned out pretty good.

Brandon is 10 years old.

Sophia is 3 years old.

Sara is 12 years old.

I try to do this at least once a year and it's getting easier to get good pictures.

Lava Hot Springs 2012

This summer for our family camping trip we went to Lava Hot Springs instead of Bear Lake.  We had so much fun and some people had never been there before!

Crissy taught both Sara and Brandon how to play speed.

Ben on the speed slide.

Brandon, my brother Aaron and Ben getting ready to jump off the first platform.

Some of the little kids playing a game.  I love Tristan's snow boots and Jessica telling them the rules :)

Floating the river.

I think Lava Hot Springs will be a regular destination when we get tired of Bear Lake.  The kids loved being able to actually swim in the pool and while we did camp in the worst spot ever we still had a good time.
