Springtime fun!

We had a few lovely days of spring weather here in east Idaho, so we tried to get out and enjoy them.  Brandon is starting pitching machine soon and he was excited to get out and practice with Dad.  Sara got to help run a booth for Earth Day with her Girl Scout troop, so we decided to all go and check things out.  There were lots of fun booths, a skateboarding tournament and some sunshine!

Some friends in our ward were done with their swing set, so they gave it to us.  Sophia LOVES the swing and the kids love pushing her in it.  Sophia also loves the trampoline, but not the grass so much.  I can't wait for it to get warm here so we can go to the park and enjoy being outside.

Sophie's favorite foods

Sophia's favorite meal right now is vienna sausages and peas.  She loves feeding herself and this is sooooooo easy!  Love it!

Sophia uses a spoon

I love letting the kids feed themselves and making a huge mess.  Sophia used the spoon for a while, but resorted to using her fingers.

So happy!  She loves vegetables and feeding herself.

After the veggies we moved on to yogurt- her most favorite food!  She started out with the spoon again, but really liked dipping her fingers in the cup and licking the yogurt off.

She had a lot of fun, but made a BIG mess.  Notice the yogurt in her hair.  When she was done we went straight to the bathtub!  How fun!

1 year pictures

I am so excited about these pictures!  They turned out so cute and it was hard to choose just a few to show everyone.  What a fun year it has been with Sophia-  I can't wait to see what she does next!

Sara and Beaker

We got to stay with our friends this last weekend and they have this beautiful bird.  Sara was scared at first, but once she got comfortable all she wanted to do was get him out of the cage and hold/play with him.  I kind of want to get a bird now, but I can't possibly take care of one more thing.

Sophia loves books!

Whenever she wakes up she wants her books and she stays in her crib for another 10-15 minutes happily looking at them.  I make sure I have books with me wherever I go to keep her happy and entertained!

Easter with Sophia

Sara and Brandon spent part of spring break and Easter with Grandma Esau in Utah this year, so we only had Sophie with us for Easter.  As you can see there was snow on the ground and it was really windy and cold!

She had fun at first, but then just wanted to go inside because she was so cold.  I had to go get the eggs out of the snow for her to pick up.  After a few minutes she wanted nothing to do with the eggs- she didn't even want to touch them.

When we went inside and started opening the eggs and she found out there was candy inside she was much happier.  Since I knew she probably wouldn't be able to eat most of the candy in the eggs I brought some mini M&M's from home so she could have some chocolate.  She loved it!
